student gov speeches

The recent election speeches for Student Government Representative confirmed that our students understand the fundamental purpose of this body: giving students a voice. We heard many excellent points about how students deserve the right to be heard and the importance of keeping an open conversation. This focus on advocacy and communication is exactly what makes our Student Government so essential.

We are excited to see this energy continue as the newly elected Representatives prepare for leadership elections.

The first Student Government meeting is scheduled for October 17th. At this important session, all Representatives will learn the specifics of the President and Vice President roles. These officers are the official heads of the student body, responsible for guiding the council's agenda and serving as the primary liaisons to school leadership.

Following this, any Representative interested in running for President or Vice President should prepare to make their case.

  • Campaigning: In the weeks leading up to the election, candidates are encouraged to design and post flyers, posters, and other creative materials around the school.

  • Next Meeting: November 7th is when candidates will deliver a short, powerful two-minute speech on why they should hold one of these top offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to step up and truly lead the charge in making our school the best it can be!
