Congratulations to Mr. James Cassell of Renzulli Gifted and Talented Academy for being named the 2026 Paraeducator of the Year! Mr. Cassell has been with Hartford Public Schools since 2013.
The Paraeducator of the Year award honors one paraeducator who has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in the performance of their job, thereby earning that person the respect and admiration of other paraeducators, students, teachers, administrators, co-workers, and parents.
Superintendent Leslie Torres-Rodriguez and Executive Principal from the Office of Special Education & Student Support Services, Mr. Gerardo Heredia surprised Mr. Cassell with the announcement during the school day.
