GPA is one of the few high schools in the country located directly on a college campus. Our students benefit from full access to CT State Manchester's world-class resources while thriving in a small, supportive high school community. GPA students are all enrolled in rigorous college preparatory courses. Many students earn enough college credits to begin their university career as a sophomore, with the opportunity to earn up to 36 tuition-free college credits toward their degree. This provides a significant academic and financial head start.

We are proud to announce that GPA was awarded the Merit School of Distinction in both 2024 and 2025 by Magnet Schools of America. This prestigious recognition is given to schools that meet high standards in academic excellence, innovative curriculum, and promoting diversity. Extracurricular Activities and Student Life
We offer a vibrant student life with facilities like a brand-new eSports lab, a culinary kitchen, and a climbing wall, allowing students to explore diverse interests and make lasting connections. Our robust Music and Visual Arts programs provide creative outlets and opportunities for performance and exhibition. Our focus on leadership and citizenship is evident through activities like the GPA Ambassadors and Student Council. Cougar Flex is a built-in weekly block dedicated to enrichment and academic support. Our new CIAC partnership with Bulkeley High School allows our students to play all available sports with BHS and provides daily transportation to practice from GPA.
